Vor etwa einem Jahr beschloss ich, die Inside Project  Kollegen anzusprechen, ob wir uns nicht mal wieder zusammen tun und Sting Illustrated aufführen wollen.

Eine unterhaltsame abendfüllende Entertainment Show, nicht nur mit der Musik von Sting & The Police, sondern vor allem auch mit Comicprojektionen, die Euch die mal skurrilen, mal witzigen, aber auch mal nachdenklichen Texte des britischen Songwriters in amüsanter Form vermitteln und völlig neue Einblicke geben.



Alle waren Feuer und Flamme und wir vereinbarten mit dem Theater Drehleier in München  einen Termin für Freitag, 9. Oktober 2020.

Die Corona-Katastrophe der Veranstaltungsbranche: Null Euro Einnahmen in 2020!

Keiner von uns wusste damals, wie sich das Jahr 2020 entwickeln würde und dass die gesamte Live-Veranstaltungsbranche über Monate mit Null Euro Umsatz brach liegen würde! Eine Vollkatastrophe nicht nur, aber auch und vor allem für Berufsmusiker, Veranstaltungstechniker, Theaterbetreiber. 

Das Leben muss aber weitergehen. Auch für die Solosebständigen und die Theater. Und das funktioniert nur, wenn IHR das kulturelle Leben unterstützt. Mehr denn je. Sonst wird einer nach dem anderen aufgeben müssen und das Leben wird ärmer.

Nach erneuter Rücksprache mit den Band-Kollegen, wie wir denn mit dieser Situation jetzt umgehen wollen, waren alle der Meinung: Lasst es uns diese Show unter Einhaltung eines entsprechenden Hygienekonzepts am 9. Oktober 2020 stattfinden lassen! (Es sei denn, es kommt zu einem neuerlichen Lockdown. Dann wird es verschoben, aber nicht aufgehoben.)

Einnahmen zu Gunsten der beteiligten Soloselbständigen

Da ich selbst mein Haupteinkommen aus anderer Quelle beziehe, werde ich auf jegliche Einnahmen zu Gunsten von Soloselbständigen und dem Theater verzichten! Statt Tickets zu verkaufen, habe ich daher diese Crowdfunding Kampagne aufgesetzt.

Aber ich brauche Eure Unterstützung. Um Euch mal aufzuzeigen, was so eine Veranstaltung bedeutet: Wenn alle Beteiligten (ohne mich) einigermaßen auf eine vernünftige Gage kommen sollen, wären 2500 EUR notwendig. (Alles darunter sind Liebhaberprojekte, die per Definition draufzahlen.)

Setzt mit mir ein Zeichen für die Soloselbständigen und die Veranstaltungsbranche. Wenn auch nur im kleinen. Wir wollen zeigen, dass mit gegenseitiger Rücksichtnahme eine Rückkehr zu einer gewissen Normalität möglich ist.

Jeder, der mehr als 20 EUR spendet, bekommt am Freitag, 9. Oktober 2020 (aktuelle Kapazität: Leider nur 60-70 Menschen statt 200!) Zutritt zu unserer unterhaltsamen Show im Theater Drehleier. First come, first served. Sollten es mehr werden, als ins Theater kommen, setzen wir einen Folgetermin auf.

Jeder, der nicht kommen kann oder will, erhält Zugriff auf einen Livestream mit vier Kameras, der u.a. unter auf unserer Website  übertragen werden wird.  Spendet bitte einen beliebigen Betrag!

Die drei Spender mit dem größten Betrag erhalten zusätzlich eine von Jerry Marotta, Tony Levin, Trey Gunn (und meiner Wenigkeit) signierte CD meines letzten Albums "blackstar's ascending", auf dem die drei mitgewirkt haben!

None of us knew back then how the year 2020 would develop and that the entire live event industry would lie idle for months with zero Euro revenues! A full catastrophe not only, but also and above all for professional musicians, event technicians and theater operators. 

But life must go on. Also for the soloists and the theaters. And that only works if YOU support cultural life. More than ever. Otherwise, one after the other will have to give up and life will become poorer.

After renewed consultation with the band colleagues about how we want to deal with this situation now, everyone was of the opinion: Let's let this show take place on October 9th, 2020, under observance of an appropriate hygiene concept! (Unless there is another lockdown. In that case it will be postponed but not cancelled).

Revenues in favor of the participating solo self-employed

Since I myself draw my main income from other sources, I will waive any income in favor of self employed musicians and the Theater! Instead of selling tickets, I have therefore set up this crowdfunding campaign.

But I need your support. To show you what such an event means: If all participants (without me) are to get a reasonable fee, 2500 EUR would be necessary. (Everything under this amount are enthusiast projects, which by definition pay for it).
