STILL HAVE SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR

My son has been diagnosed with Colon Cancer.  What started off as unbearable stomach pain quickly turned to that word, Cancer.  Alex is 21 years old and still has so much to share with this world.  He is witty, adventurous, generous, and just full of goodness.  Alex fills a room with laughter and has such a creative mind.  Those of you that know him, are reading this with a smile........that's because Alex has this affect on everyone he meets.    Now that we've gotten the diagnosis, things are moving fast for us.  No time to absorb all the news; no time to react, you just have to keep moving right along.  ER room, cat scans, colonoscopy, blood work.  Primary physician, GI Specialist, Rectal Surgeon.  The train keeps going and on.   Oh and by the way, there is still colitis to deal with after surgery. On February 23rd,  Alex will undergo his first surgery.  He will eventually have his colon removed.  Chemo will follow for the next 26 weeks.  This is just the beginning and we hope to have a favorable outcome.
