Stewart Morales & Taka Cancer Fund

Stewart Morales, East Bank Club Gymnasium Supervisor for 20 years, was dealt a shocking blow and abruptly terminated by management this week.   He is a kind, thoughtful, and compassionate man who we all have grown to appreciate.  Stew is always there to lend an ear, listen to our struggles, and impart some valuable words of advice.  He has been an integral part of our EBC experience and always has put us as members first.  Something that you may not know about Stew is that he lives a very modest life which necessitates him having a roommate, Taka.  Taka is an acupuncturist, but after being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Bone Marrow Cancer in 2015 Stew has taken it upon himself to take care and financially support Taka on his humble wages from East Bank Club.  Taka underwent a bone marrow transplant last August and is currently still on chemotherapy.  East Bank Club was Stew's only source of income so he's in a very tough financial spot for the moment.  Now more than ever he needs our help.  After serving us for so long it's only right that we show our appreciation and support by coming together and helping Stew and Taka in their URGENT time of need.  Any donation will be going directly to Stew and Taka to keep them afloat until Stew finds a new source of steady income.  Also I encourage all of you to reach out to East Bank Director of Club Operations, Diane Best, at [phone redacted], ext. 378 or [email redacted] and express your strong desire for this hasty and unfortunate determination to be reviewed and ultimately rectified.  If you would like to reach out to Stew directly his number is [phone redacted].  I'm sure he would love to hear from you and hopefully we can listen to his needs after 20 years of him listening to ours'.
