Like much of America, Pittsfield, MA finds itself in the middle of a housing crisis. This in combination with the opioid epidemic, unemployment rate, food insecurity and the challenges presented by COVID-19, many of our most vulnerable community members are in dire straits. Currently, our efforts are focused on providing life-saving services to our community members in danger due to these factors and supporting them in taking the initial steps to safety and stability. To do this, Stewards of H.O.P.E. volunteers are working around the clock.
All monies raised though this campaign will go directly to Berkshire County community members struggling to survive. Some of these safety measures include motel rooms, rental assistance, food, clothing, hygiene items, transportation, phones, phones cards, winter gear and other supplies necessary for safety and basic needs.
Due to the diverse population needing services, our current system of care is not equipped to meet the needs of the most vulnerable. Stewards of H.O.P.E. endeavors to provide support to those falling through the cracks. We cannot do this without the kindness and generosity we know exists within our community and as such we humbly ask you to consider a donation.
