Hi! I have a large favor to ask for our daughters but first of all thank you for the support you have given us over the last 2 yrs. It has indeed been a "Great Adventure" especially since there have been several unexpected twists and turns along the way. For instance, after finishing chemo in the fall of 2015, I developed a large parastoma hernia in my abdomen and neuropathy in my hands & feet. These continued to keep me from full-time work due to the physical limitations they imposed. My hernia wasn't repaired until the end of Aug 2016 & my neuropathy was still a major factor. While recuperating from hernia surgery I developed another abdominal hernia in October of 2016. This was just repaired on Feb 2, 2017 so I'll have a few more weeks of recuperating without being able to work full time & I am still waiting to hear about disability compensation- its been over 2 yrs. In spite of this bad news, the great news is I've been clear of cancer since Dec of 2015! Praise God! I tell you this to illustrate why I haven't been able to work full time for over 2 yrs and why I am asking a large favor. Our 2 daughters have an opportunity to travel with the West Catholic Band to Italy this year on March 31 & possibly play for Pope Francis. We have worked a lot of fund raisers but are still a couple thousand dollars short with the deadline of Feb 25! Would you please be so kind as to donate to help them take this trip? This is their last opportunity to travel with the band as the trips are every 3 yrs & they'll be out of school for the next one. If the amount raised is large enough I might be able to travel with them & share this awesome experience.
