STEVE'S PROSTHETIC

PLEASE HELP STEVE WALK AGAIN! My son Steve had his right leg recently amputated above the knee. Last year he went to the doctors with a pain in his knee after a fall. Having recently had an MRI for arthritis in his knee the Doctors attributed his pain to the arthritis and did not do another MRI even after Steve insisted because he was in so much pain. Over the next year he went back to the doctor's several times in extreme pain. The doctors finally decided that they would do knee replacement surgery hoping to eliminate Steve's pain. During surgery they discovered he had had a broken leg. Had the doctors listened to Steve in the first place and did another MRI they might have found the injury before Performing such drastic Surgery on him . Several weeks after his surgery Steve fell injuring his right leg. Because of the knee replacement his leg bent at an odd angle which damaged an artery.        He had several surgeries and skin grafts trying to repair his damaged right leg  all of which caused him excruciating Pain. He was in the hospital for several weeks this time  and was finally sent home with a swollen And grotesque looking leg he could no longer feel. He was home only a few weeks before developing aninfection in his leg. He was told in order to save his life he needed to have his right leg amputated above the knee immediately.           He has been through so much debilitating pain but has tried to remain positive doing everything he is supposed to no matter how hard or how much it hurt so that he could be be fitted with a prosthetic. He has been greatly looking forward to getting his prosthetic so that he may one day be able to walk again. He had a Recent appointment to be cast  to be fitted for his prosthetic . But that appointment was suddenly canceled  because his Insurance wouldn't cover it. Before his surgery Steve had worked a little over a year for DR Horton builders who are still holding his job for him Once he has his prosthetic and is able to walk . My son  Steve deserves a chance to walk again and work and be Able to support his family he is married With 3 children He is a young man only 47 years old he still has a lot of life ahead of him. Will  you please help us to reach our goal  for Steves Prosthetic and medical expenses . Thank you and God bless everyone Shirley
