GILLY UPDATE

Update Well surgeon has been round and said that surgery today was 6hrs and now they have to wait & pray for the next few days to see exactly the severity of his internal burns are and how much of his hands & arms are going to survive.
It’s hard to say as his thumbs & forearms have completely severed the muscles and tissue is dead but how far up is what they will find out over next few days expect to be Monday morning to go to theatre to see how the donated skin is taking and if his fingers & thumbs are managing to stay alive, with 48,000 volts going through his body it’s a lot more than burns.
His kidneys are being closely monitored & his lungs are bruised from the fall or the electrical currents they’re aren’t sure.
Blood clot in his leg is being closely monitored too.
He is going to theatre tomorrow afternoon to have his leg surgery rods & cage fixed to it.
The surgeon has said that this is going to be a long & rough road to recovery physically & mentally exhausting for him and is still under ICU and critical burns unit @ Chelsea hospital.

I want to thank you all from the bottom of our heart ❤️ for your love & support over the last few days xxx

As you may have heard Steven Gillmore known to most as Gilly, had a serious accident whilst working on Monday 29th November when a scaffold tube he was lifting up hit an overhead power line resulting in a fall from height and serious electrical burns. He has undergone emergency surgery for his injuries but is in serious but stable condition, however, the injuries sustained will result in life changing conditions.
His partner Vicky will have to travel to London to visit him whilst he remains in hospital receiving treatment, which may be some time, and rehabilitation will be a prolonged affair too. I feel it would be a nice gesture to help out a friend and his family during this difficult period so any donations towards getting them through this tough time would be much appreciated. Thanks, everyone x
