Steve Fisher Medical Care

On Tuesday, Nov 25th at 2:30am I found my husband, Steven Fisher in the bed cold and unresponsive. He had sweated and was drooling out of his mouth and had very labored breathing. Needless to say, I called 911. Emergency came and found Steve's blood sugar to be 22. He still did not respond to any treatmebt and was rushed to the emergency room. After testing, Steve was rushed to ICU where he was admitted in very very critical condition. He had liver damage, kidney damage and all his ph levels were off, we did not really think he was going to make it.
Dec 2nd Update: Steve remains in Critical Condition in ICU. He has gone through kidney dialysis 3 times so far, has found out he has Hepatitis C, c-diff, and an infection  in his blood that was thought to be MRSA.  Thank goodness the tests for MRSA came back negative. However, it is not know what illnesss is causing his body to basically stop working.  Steve is still on a ventilator and is having trouble relaxing enough so it isn't safe to take him off...his heart rate and blood pressure have risen to dangerous levels when this happens. A CT scan will be done today to make sure we have no other neurological damages causing the restlessness and agitiation issues. Doctors have told me that he has turned a corner but the recovery will be a LONG one.

**Update from Mary on 12/7**
~Steve is off the ventilator but remains hospitalized. He is still receiving dialisid~

This is why I am needing help. Steve just changed his job to do some construction work...self-employed. He is obviously not working so we have no income at all coming in. I am also self-employed as a private music instructor and am unable to teach while my husband is in this condition. We both have no income coming in currently and as you can imagine will be faced with massive hopsital bills. When the hospital inquired with the insurance (from his last job) is still active but we have a $5000 deductible plus we will have to pay 20% of all bills after that. We are uncertain the extent of Steve's kidneys and what the future will hold right now.
We appreciate any help and support anyone could help us with and mostly prayers for recovery.

Thank you,

Susan Wehinger-Fisher
