Steve's medical care

For those of you who follow my page know that my husband Steve is not doing well at all. He was diagnosed with severely pinched nerves and bulging discs in his lower back which has caused him to lose all feeling in both of his legs and feet. This has left Steve with being unable to walk at all. They have attempted to release him from the hospital and send him home ( to await physical therapy, which they HOPED would help) however, due to him not being able to walk or stand up, this was not possible as he did not even make it through the day before he was returned back to the hospital last night. The hospital is recommending that Steve go into a Skilled Nursing Facility as they state that is his only option to receive full-time care and physical therapy to hopefully get him walking again.

We as a family have done as much as we can possibly do and we are now asking for the help and support from our friends, family, and loved ones. The insurance company is not covering much at all in regards to Steve's time at the Skilled Nursing Facility and right now we are currently not able to provide the financial needs necessary to take him there and keep him there until he is healed and able to walk again. There is a very large deposit and then a charge of almost $200 per day to keep him there. Watching Steve everyday in this state, not being able to walk, becoming depressed, and feeling as if he's a burden to everyone, has been extremely difficult. We need to get him back, we all need him, love him, and tears us apart to see him this way.

We are asking for help from all of you. We know and are very well aware that times are tough for everyone and we understand and thank you anyways for those of you that are not able to help. However, we are asking for any donation at all, no donation is too small. It was a hard decision to come on here and ask our family and friends for help as this can be very uncomfortable and embarrassing however, we have no other choice as this was a last resort for us.

You all know and love Steve just as much as we do and this is a very big time of need in order for him to become healthy and get back to the old Steve we all know and love.
