Steve Novak (Ookla) Cancer Fight

Our boy needs some help.  After a brief illness over the past month, beloved pal Steve (Ookla) Novak has been diagnosed with fairly advanced  colon cancer.  He had a massive surgery yesterday in Virginia Beach, VA and is currently recovering in ICU.  At this point, there is no evidence of metastasis and we are hopeful that the surgery is curative.  We are awaiting pathology for a final word on that.  In the meantime, Steve is fortunate to have medical insurance, but he will have large bills nonetheless.  In addition to hospital costs, Steve will have the stress of missing a couple of months of work.  I'd like to take away some of the financial pain so that Steve can focus on healing and getting back to his life on the Outer Banks.
