Help Steve financially while he fights lung cancer
Donation protected
As of Wednesday 26th of February Steve has stopped all treatment due to the fact if the cancer shrinks anymore he will bleed out completely as it is acting as a plug stopping blood leaking into his lung from the aorta.
Steve has had bad reactions to the immunotherapy which has caused his blood vessels to enlarge causing two clots in his intestines. Immunotherapy has been stopped so he can recover though that is what was treating his brain tumours. He is struggling as he has to travel 45minutes into his chemotherapy which really knocks him around. These funds will be used for accomodation and travel as doctors are discussing that he will have radiation therapy on the goldcoast. Also for his medical needs and treatment.
Update on the 29th of October.
Steve's cancer is classed as a stage 4 cancer.
It is spreading through the brain quite rapidly.
He begins chemotherapy and immunotherapy this week which will tackle the cancer throughout his lung and brain.
With out treatment they have given him 6mnths to live.
With treatment he may have up to 3 years.
We would like to help Steve enjoy the time he does have with his family and friends. This is what the fund will be going to. Please help him throughout this
Update on Steve.
He needs to now have a brain biopsy as he has 3 spots on his brain.
Doctors need to know if it is cancer to know wether they can use chemotherapy on his lung (only way to save his lung). This involves travelling to John Hunter again which is 4hrs one way.
My mum may have to quit her job to care for him which will add even more financial strain.
Hi My name is Kate and I have set up a go fundme to help my brother Steve financially while he undergoes treatment for lung cancer.
Steve has been diagnosed with a medium growth (adenocarcinoma) inside his lung which has caused it to collapse.
He can no longer work while so sick and cannot pay his car finance costs and is struggling.
His dog went missing two weeks ago and he is mentally struggling with everything.
He has no support as he has been transferred to John Hunter Hospital which is 4 hours away from his support network and family.
If we can lift some of the financial burden off his shoulders and help with medical costs while he focuses on fighting the dreadful disease that kills daily we will have achieved something great.
Please help Steve
