Steve’s work at DSG-(Formerly MDM Supply) and his love of the Flathead valley has made him a friend to many.
Unfortunately Steve has recently been faced with a situation that we all pray to never encounter. Please, let’s do what we can to help him face this obstacle as we know he would do for any of us. Your donations, and prayers are urgently needed.
Steve was having back pain prior to Thanksgiving of this year. He had a trip to California planned to meet his new grandson Sullivan and spend time with family.
After returning from his Thanksgiving trip, Steve made an appointment with his physician to find the cause of his back pain. After many tests, scans and biopsies, Steve has been diagnosed with inoperable, Stage 4 cancer located in his back, lung and brain.
Steve has spent a significant amount of time in the hospital due to the cancer attacking his spine and causing him to lose use of both legs and lower body. He has undergone one surgery to stabilize his spine and the physicians are diligently trying to reduce his severe pain due to pinched nerves in his spine. Once stabilized, he will have to spend a couple of weeks in The Brendan House for physical therapy and to help him learn how to get in and out of his wheelchair. The doctors have indicated that Steve will be confined to a wheelchair for his remaining days. Steve recently married the love of his life, Sydne. Their plans are to return to his home state of California to live out his final days in Grass Valley where he can be near his new grandson, and his immediate family.
Steve is in need of financial assistance for medical bills, relocation expenses and the purchase of a wheelchair accessible vehicle for transportation to medical treatments and his journey to be near his family.
