<div>We zijn een groep van 10 vrienden en hebben ons hart verbonden aan <strong>Ehene</strong> en daarbij aan zijn dorp in <strong>Niger</strong>. We zetten ons in om dit dorpje in een van de armste landen van de wereld een andere toekomst te geven. Een druppel op een gloeiende plaat zul je denken, maar omdat we het doen op een eerlijke en directe manier, waarbij we dagelijks contact hebben, vervult het ons zó om te zien hoe dankbaar de mensen zijn met elke stap die we maken. Wij sturen hen geld en zij zetten het om in basisbehoeftes; <strong>drinkbaar water, een schooltje en medische hulp</strong>. Doel is dat ze hierin zelfredzaam gaan zijn. Wij geloven dat deze manier werkt. Als je elkaar kan vertrouwen... en dat doen we... help je ons helpen? Dank je wel.

<div><strong>Waar gaat deze actie over?</strong>

<div>We ontmoetten <strong>Ehene</strong> tijdens zijn reizen door Europa, waar hij handgemaakte sieraden verkocht om zijn gemeenschap in Niger te steunen. Hij is het hoofd van <strong>vier Wodaabe-dorpen</strong>, samen zo’n 1.850 mensen, waarvan meer dan de helft kinderen. Door droogte en conflict verloren zij hun vee en bestaan. Nu leven ze zonder betrouwbare toegang tot water, voedsel, onderwijs en zorg.

<div>Wij zijn een groep van <strong>tien vrienden</strong> die Ehene op verschillende momenten hebben ontmoet. In plaats van machteloos toe te kijken, kozen we voor directe actie. We hebben onderdak geboden aan Ehene toen hij in Nederland was en hem leren kennen als <strong>een bescheiden, eerlijke, transparante, trotse en zeer toegewijde man. </strong>We hebben samen een vorm gevonden om een directe bijdrage te kunnen leveren aan zijn ongekend arme community. Alle <strong>donaties gaan 100 % en rechtstreeks </strong>naar Ehene, die zorgt dat het geld besteed wordt daar waar het nodig is.

<div><strong>Wat hebben we al bereikt?</strong>

<div>In één jaar hebben we samen met Ehene al <strong>een school gebouwd</strong> voor 60 kinderen én <strong>een waterpomp</strong> geïnstalleerd die schoon water geeft aan een kwart van de gemeenschap. Dit bewijst dat wij als kleine groep snel <strong>echte verandering </strong>kunnen brengen. En dat er een stevig vertrouwen is opgebouwd.

<div>De volgende stap voor <strong>toekomstige zelfredzaamheid is </strong>een<strong> tweede waterpomp.</strong> De vergunning is rond, het lokale team staat klaar. Alleen de financiering ontbreekt: <strong>€20.000 inclusief onderhoud.</strong>

<div>We are a group of 10 friends who have connected our hearts to <strong>Ehene </strong>and his village in Niger. We are committed to giving this small community in one of the poorest countries in the world a different future. You might think it’s just a drop in the ocean, but because we do it in an honest and direct way, with daily contact, it fills us with joy to see how grateful the people are for every step we take. We send them money, and they turn it into basic needs: drinking water, a small school, and medical care. The goal is for them to become more self-sufficient in these areas of living. <div><strong>What is this campaign about?</strong>

<div>We met Ehene during his travels through Europe, where he sold handmade jewelry to support his community in Niger. He is the leader of <strong>four Wodaabe villages</strong>, together about 1,850 people, more than half of them children. Due to drought and conflict, they lost their livestock and livelihood. Now they live without reliable access to water, food, education, and healthcare.

<div>We are a group of <strong>ten friends</strong> who met Ehene at different times. Instead of watching helplessly, we chose direct action. We offered him shelter when he was in the Netherlands and came to know him as a humble, honest, transparent, proud, and deeply dedicated man. Together we found a way to make a direct contribution to his extremely poor community. All donations go 100% and directly to Ehene, who ensures the money is spent where it is most needed.

<div><strong>What have we achieved so far?</strong>

<div>In just one year, together with Ehene, we have already built <strong>a school for 60 children</strong> and installed <strong>a first water pump</strong> that provides clean water to a quarter of the community. This proves that as a small group we can quickly bring real change — and that strong trust has been built.

<div>The next step toward future self-sufficiency is a second water pump. The permit is approved, the local team is ready. Only the funding is missing: €20,000 including maintenance.
