<div>November 2023 stond het leven van dit gezin plotseling op de kop. Bij Sofy werd een neuroblastoom in haar buik ontdekt met meerdere uitzaaiingen in haar hele lichaam. De primaire tumor in haar buik was heel groot, met afmetingen van 10x11x13 cm. Sofy werd opgenomen in het Prinses Maxima centrum in Utrecht voor behandeling en verbleef daar met haar ouders. Sofy werd heel erg ziek van de chemo's. Daardoor kon ze niet naar huis en moesten ze maandenlang in het PMC verblijven. Sofy moest zelfs een aantal keer opgenomen worden op de IC (o.a. ook voor een operatie) waarbij de situatie zo zorgelijk was dat er gevreesd werd voor haar leven.

<div>Na 4 maanden mochten ze eindelijk naar huis. Maar nog steeds zijn de zeer intensieve behandelingen in volle gang. Zo moet Sofy terugkomen voor chemo's, immunotherapie en bestralingen in het PMC en moet ze regelmatig een bloedtransfusie/bloedplaatjes als haar waardes niet goed zijn, maar dit kan ook in het Deventer Ziekenhuis.

<div>Naast het verdriet van de ziekte van Sofy, komen Bram en Lisanne ook voor financiële uitdagingen te staan door onverwachts hoge kosten die gemaakt worden en zorg die niet vergoed wordt. Hierbij kan je denken reis-, parkeer- en verblijfskosten naar en bij de ziekenhuizen in Utrecht en Deventer, medicatie die niet vergoed wordt, een nieuw (veilig) bedje en speciaal beddengoed en hulpmiddelen zoals een rolstoel.

<div>Wij gunnen het onze vrienden dat ze naast de zorgen om Sofy geen financiële zorgen hoeven te hebben, daarom zijn we deze actie gestart.
