<div>De schrijnende verhalen van dieren in nood volgen elkaar sneller en sneller op. We gaan van de ene inzamelactie naar de andere en onze rekening houdt amper stand.

<div>Er zijn ontzettend veel katjes die onze hulp dringend nodig hebben maar door een gebrek aan financiële middelen en opvangplaatsen, zijn we zo beperkt in wat we kunnen doen.

<div>We hebben enerzijds nood aan ademruimte op financieel vlak en anderzijds een gestructureerde, beter voorziene opvangplaats. 
</div>
<div>Op dit moment is onze ziekenboeg/quarantaineplaats een grote garage met geïmproviseerde opbergruimte en hokken om de ziekste katjes zo goed als mogelijk te verzorgen tot ze genezen zijn en naar een opvanggezin kunnen doorstromen. 
</div>
<div>Deze ruimte dient dringend voorzien te worden van een goed geïsoleerde poort met deur, er moet extra opbergruimte voorzien worden voor het materiaal en medicatie, er moeten dringend hospikooien geïnstalleerd worden voor kwalitatievere opvang op maat van een ziek of gewond dier en er zou een behandelruimte moeten voorzien worden om zieke katjes te wassen en te verzorgen waar nodig.

<div>De ademruimte op financieel vlak dat we dringend nodig hebben, is dan voornamelijk om de hoge dierenartskosten te blijven betalen. We hebben op dit moment heel wat katjes in opvang die in schrijnende toestand binnengebracht werden. Mulan is herstellende van een bilaterale middenoorontsteking en haar factuur loopt al flink op richting €2000. De lieve knuffelbeer Tuxie is zware ataxie en voor hem zijn de onderzoeken nog lopende, een MRI zal bijna niet te vermijden zijn en alles bij elkaar gaat ook hij richting €2000.

<div>En zo komt het ene na het andere zorgenkatje bij ons aankloppen. Hoe graag we ook willen helpen, hoe groot ons hart ook is om ze allemaal een kans te geven, zo beperkt zijn we in onze mogelijkheden.
