Stephanie's Story

On August 15, 2018, our Stephanie was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia. What lies ahead is a long road to recovery, including a prolonged hospitalization for induction chemotherapy followed by several months of outpatient therapy.
As you can imagine, we have all struggled with lots of tears, confusion, disbelief and anger and of course we are who we are, so yes, even some laughter and poor taste jokes.
This journey will be challenging - physically, emotionally, and financially - for Steph and her beautiful family. Treatment will mean exhausting sick time, vacation time, and short term and long term disability while still incurring the multitude of expenses associated with therapy. Every word of encouragement will continue to lift their spirits; any amount you are able to contribute will be received with tremendous gratitude during this difficult time.
