Stephen's Sensory Room

Donation protected
I would like you to meet Stephen James-Rhodes Wilson
(the cute little guy, not the ugly old guy, that would be me, his proud Grandpa)....  Stephen is just over 9 months old, but is not quite the same as his 9 month old counter parts....  He has lots of the same qualities as other little boy's his age; loving parents and family members, cute smiles, loving cuddles, beautiful eyes etc..  However, unfortunately, Stephen is not keeping up with  others his age on the developmental side of things.

We do not as of yet know the extent of all of his physical (and possibly mental) barriers as we are awaiting a whole lot of genetic testing.  We do know that he has Epilepsy and Hypotonia, commonly known as floppy baby syndrome.  This means he has low muscle tone (the amount of tension or resistance to stretch in a muscle is greatly diminished), resulting in significant reduced muscle strength.  The little fellow is constantly fighting gravity.  His wonderful parent's are choosing to be proactive (the test results will take litterally years to be complete) and are turning a room of thier lovely home into a "Sensory Room".  https://www.sensoryplus.co.uk/your-own-sensory-room

This is where I am asking for help...  Sensory Rooms are a proven developmental aid to persons with developmental issues.  They provide stimulation in order to promote movement and thought.  Left to his own wiles, little Stephen is happy to just lay on his back in the loving arms of his parents and nothing more.  While that is good at times, he desperately needs the aid of stimulation that can really only be given through the Sensory Room his Mom and Dad have decided to build.  Unfortunately, the equipment to fill these rooms and the labor and materials to do so cost quite a bit.  As an example: https://www.sensoryplus.co.uk/products/sight/bubble-tubes/interactive-bubble-tubes/mini-interactive-tube-roll-bag/SE073   Yes, that was a UK link as they live in England.

Stephens condition is such that both parents can not work, one has to stay home with him in fact only one can really sleep at a time (can you say Sleep Deprivation).  Lot's of work needs to be done such as rewiring the electrical outlets, adding thier own seperate circuit in the room to support the operation of the equipment.  Always things to add and do.

The goal we have set is a best case scenario of course, we know you work hard for your money and we all have our own difficulties we have to deal with.  Your thoughts and Prayers are appreciated as well!  This GoFundMe is just my way of trying to help out a great young couple and the most beautiful grandchild (partial much?) in the world.
