Stephen Morris: Nuke the Leuks

In October, 2014, the Morris family (Stephen, Stephanie and their three children) and those who love them had their worst fears confirmed...Stephen, a devoted husband, father and coach, was suddenly diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Further testing revealed that his leukemia is remission-resistant and will require a bone marrow transplant.
Achieving remission, which is necessary in order to move on to the transplant, has proven difficult. After two cycles of chemo and a clinical study drug failed to put Stephen in to remission, the Morris family now finds themselves needing to seek care for Stephen at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. They have been told that there are clinical studies offered there involving his specific type of leukemia, which brings much-needed hope. However, this means Stephen must relocate for what may prove to be an extended period of time (several months at the very least).
Bottom line: This precious family desperately needs our support. The last few months have already been difficult financially with neither Stephen nor Stephanie able to work. The upcoming relocation will require extensive funding to cover: airfare (Stephanie will need to travel between TX and home often), temporary housing, caregiver fees, car rental and gas, hospital parking fees, living expenses, to name a few. There are substantial costs related to the bone marrow transplant as well.
The needs are immense and cannot be overstated.
