Stephanie's Diabetic Pump

My name is Stephanie Ahern. I have been living with Type 1 Diabetes for over 16 years. 

I am a strong supporter of the American Diabetes Association and with the help my my friends and family we have raised over $4,000 for the cause by participating in the Tour De Cure. I love helping others! 

I am currently, taking classes towards becoming a nurse while also working fulltime as a manager at a high volume Cupcake cafe in Seattle.  I lead a busy, wonderful life. 

I am asking for help this time so that I can purchase a Medtronic insulin pump.  For those that don't know, it is a somewhat magical pump that takes my blood sugar every 5 minutes and maintains my sugar levels. This means, no shots several times a day and no finger pokes to test my sugar. This device will help me so much especially with the hectic life I lead. I will have a higher chance of surviving diabetes related complications that happen with this disease later in life.
