Stephanie's Brain Trauma Recovery

We are reaching out to everyone to help our friends with an accident that has thrown them for a curveball.  Jeff and Pauline Wells' daughter, Stephanie, was in a life threatening motorcycle accident on July 16th, 2017.  Shortly after the accident, Stephanie was flown to the University of Iowa Hospitals to the SNICU.  Stephanie sustained a brain bleed from the accident, and fractured her skull in three different places.  On July 22nd she had to go in for an emergency craniotomy to remove part of her skull to help lower the pressure in her head due to swelling.  We cannot imagine the heartache and sleepless nights this family has endured over the last several weeks, and they still have a long road ahead of them.  The recovery period is going to be a very long process with the possibility of months of rehabilitation.  The medical and travel expenses are already adding up.  We are asking for donations to help with Stephanie's rehabilitation as well as to help with the expenses her parents spend traveling from home to the hospital/rehabilitation center.  Life doesn't always go as planned.  Sometimes you have to veer off course.  Let's help Stephanie and her family get through this traumatic event.

Stephanie is a recent graduate of Bettendorf High School.  She loves her sister Jessica (most of the time - heehee), softball, her rescue dog Zoi, drawing Henna tattoos, and listening to Rascal Flatts.  Stephanie is the girl you will always find outside hiking, boating, or horseback riding.  Her favorite color is teal.  She is full of spunk and a love for life.
