In a moment, her life was changed.
On January 22, 2018 at 10:30am, Stephanie was struck by a car as she walked across the street with the light on her way to work. Not only was she struck by the vehicle, but dragged and then pinned underneath the car for at least 20 minutes.
Stephanie was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital to be stabilized then life flighted via helicopter to MUSC where she underwent surgery for multiple broken bones (crushed pelvis and broken ribs), treatment for many burns and bruises.

Stephanie injuries are extensive will take an extremely long time to heal. She will need more surgery in the near future.
She is still in the hospital and has a very long road of recovery ahead. Her husband Sean has been by traveling from Beaufort to Charleston around his work schedule to support Stephanie as much as possible, but the medical bills and loss of wages are daunting. The physical challenges and care for her family are her greatest concerns, Stephanie also has a young son at home. Due to immobility and extensive injuries, she will need a daily home health assistant especially when her husband is at work.
Please help support Stephanie and Sean Agatep as they try to recover from this tragic event and develop some normalcy in their home in coming months.
