The unexpected closing of Superior Health Club negatively affected many of us, but none as harshly as it did Stephanie Maxim and Heather Bleakman, and all the other trainers who were immediately and surprisingly stripped of their source of income. Stephanie, Heather and two of their daughters who worked at Superior are all suddenly without jobs..can you imagine how hard this must be for an entire family? Three weeks before Christmas ? I know we all see them as our amazing trainers but they are so much more. I personally worked for Stephanie as a college student in the 90s and she always made sure that myself and the other employees were paid before she got extra compensation. She mentored me for years. Fast forward to now and reuniting with Steph, the person has made me part of the person I am. Being with her at Superior is more than a workout, it's being with a part of my family. Many don't know, my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 2 months ago. I shut the world off. Stephanie checked in on me multiple times for weeks and when I saw her she stopped everything to comfort me. Thank goodness it was dark in Pilates as I cried a lot. I am sure she did the same for so many other people while taking care of her own family. Her daughter Olivia came and took my daughter to cheer when I didn't want to get out and would suprise her with her special Starbucks. The love this family gives to others is endless. Heather and Stephanie pour their hearts in to all of us. I think each and every one of us can think of their personal story and why now it's our time to take care of them.❤  More than instructors.....FAMILY...we love you!
