Step Up To Serve Unhoused in Bloomington, IL

My name is Sarah; I am raising funds for the non-profit HOPE Housing Our People Everywhere, a small 501c3 in Bloomington, IL.

The City of Bloomington has been applying pressure on those living in Homeless Encampments. Just one week ago, our volunteers helped move seven people from a location they had considered home for over a year to our property, a vacant lot.

Here is what we have received so far:

1) Food donations from the community

2) A donation from a law firm in Indiana to cover the cost of the Port-a-potty.

Funds are needed for portable showers, toiletries, towels, linens, etc.

Today, we received an alert that the City of Bloomington is in the process of sweeping other homeless encampments around the city. Our SAFE HAVEN will be expanded for other displaced encampment residents in Bloomington and surrounding areas.

We expect 50-100 additional displaced unhoused citizens to require assistance.
