Step Out for St Patrick's Walk to USA

Last year despite Covid-19 restrictions members of St Patrick's & St John's Church's organised a virtual sponsored walk around the whole of Ireland. Our aim was to raise much needed funds for the ministry of our church in Whitehead and Islandmagee, but also to encourage us all to keep fit by going for walks and keeping in touch with each other.

 

Well the event proved to be a great success and that's why we are organising a new walk challenge in 2022 that will take us the distance of walking to the USA, where we plan to meet up with a sister church, also called St Patrick's Church, and to forge new friendships and links, inspite of Covid!

We have just a limited time to complete the 3,380 mile walk and plan to start on January 1st, so that we can be in the USA on St Patrick's Day ~Thursday 17th March 2022.
