Step By Step Challenge - Teaming Up For #talktotom

This May 1st 2021, join Ballymanus GAA in their 24-hour Step By Step Challenge in aid of #talktotom. Join this incredible initiative and step along side 22 other wonderful Wicklow sports clubs who will be teaming up to help raise funds for mental health supports in the Garden County.
Annacurra GAA, Aughrim GAA, Carnew Emmets, Knockananna GAA, Knockananna Camogie, Shillelagh-Coolboy GAA, Kiltegan GAA, Tinahely Ladies GAA, Blessington GAA, Kiltegan GAA, Arklow Rocks Hurling, St Pats GAA, Kiltegan Camogie Club, Arklow Gerdaines/Ballymoney GAA. Tinahely Racket Ball, Arklow Firebrigade, Tinahely Show Committee, Ashford GAA, Rathdrum GAA, Rathnew GAA, Clara Vale Ladies, Baltinglass GAA, Red Door Fitness and Arklow United will all be taking part during the 24-hour period between May 1st and 2nd - all socially distanced and within their personal 5km limits. Just because we are apart doesn't mean we can't unite together.
About Talk To Tom.
Talk To Tom are a community-based suicide prevention, mental health awareness and bereavement support charity. Since their inception in 2012 they have guided over 4,000 people through their doors. They offer 100% private and confidential counselling services , to adults, children and adolescents, struggling with their mental health. They also facilitate group therapy and counselling services to those bereaved through suicide.
Talk To Tom also offer vital suicide prevention training programmes such as QPR , (Question, Persuade , Refer,) which teaches individuals how to spot the signs of a suicide crisis, how to react and how to persuade and steer the individual to safety and services.
Talk To Tom is a completely volunteer-driven organisation, run by the community for the community. They rely solely on the generosity of the public to fund their services.
As they are run by volunteers all funds raised goes directly into funding the services they facilitate. You can be safe in the knowledge that 100% of the money we raise will go towards suicide prevention and awareness.
Talk To Tom have been operating from their clinical centre in Gorey, since 2012. T his year they will open a new Clinical centre on Main St, Arklow.
