<div>Hi, my name is Ngozi Dozie and I'm raising funds for my dear friend Maryanne Maina, who has been struck by Motor Neuron Disease.

<div>I have known Maryanne for almost 15 years and she has a beautiful soul. I don't believe I have ever seen her without a smile on her face.

<div>Yet her light was dimmed about two and half years ago when a procedural error during routine surgery perforated the sheaths that protect motor neurons, leaving her with a devastating trauma-induced nerve degenerative condition.

<div><strong>Her Current Condition</strong>

<div>Her nerves and muscles have degenerated completely, leaving her with total loss of motor function. She is currently under critical home care with an invasive tracheostomy-supported ventilator.

<div>There is promising stem-cell and transplant treatment available in India. We urgently need to raise funds to take Maryanne to India for this life-saving treatment.
