Stem Cell Eye Surgery

My name is Jon (Jonathan Hall), and I am 30 years old.  When I was 18 years old, I was diagnosed with Stargardt's Disease.  This is a disease of the macula of the eye, which cause eventual blindness.  I am near that point at this time.  I cannot hold a regular job as I cannot see a computer screen, even with enlargement.  I receive disability and currently work at a local funeral home as a funeral assistant.  I am thankful that these kind people let me work there, although there is not a lot I can do to help them.

There is no cure and no treatment for this disease, however, there is a stem cell surgery, through clinical trials.gov - Stargardt's disease in Florida.  This is my only hope at this time to live a normal life.  Medicare will not pay for this treatment.  In the treatment, stem cells are taken from my hip bone and inserted behind my macula.  This has proven in several cases to grow new blood vessels in the macula, allowing for vision to return.  There is no guarantee that this will work, however, if you read the clinical trials page, several people have regained their lost vision.  Also the physician doing the study has a website.  Dr. Steven Levy is doing the study and you can look at testimonies of grateful people on his website.  He is in Coconut Creek, Florida near Ft. Lauderdale.

The cost of the Stem Cell surgery is 19,600.00 and we have a date set for September 12, 2017.   If you can help me, I will be forever grateful for giving me a life.
