Stella Tucker Baidaj Camp

My mother, Stella Tucker, was a Tohono O'odham elder and guardian of the saguaro harvesting tradition. She passed away on January 9, 2019.  We are asking for support to continue her work and honor her legacy of teaching and preserving the declining tradition of saguaro harvesting.  My sister Tanisha Tucker will be continuing the annual saguaro harvest and working with O'odham youth to pass on the tradition to more generations. Over the years, my mom covered the cost of the camp herself so these donations will be greatly appreciated. Before she passed, we discussed ideas to expand funding so she and my sister could offer more educational workshops.  You can read about my mom's legacy and the saguaro harvesting tradition here:
