Why Holy Yoga? "Because God told us to love Him with our mind, body, soul and heart. This is His greatest commandment. Then He said, “love one another.” That is Holy Yoga. Worshipping Jesus and loving those around us." –Caroline Grey

As many of you know, my first encounter with Holy Yoga was in the winter of 2013. Knowing absolutely nothing about Holy Yoga, and very little about yoga in general I immersed myself in the culture for two days. It was an experience like none other. And here I am two years later… still pondering it all.

During that weekend I received Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in you - to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever, and ever Amen.”

At the time I really felt drawn to consider instructor training and I thought this verse was referring to that… However, little did I was just weeks pregnant and God had blessed us with a child after years of waiting. Beyond what we could ask or think a baby was born. And so the Holy Yoga desire got shelved.

Which brings me to today. Two years later that desire is still in me, to lead, to serve, and to minister through Holy Yoga.

So much of the time we, as Christians, compartmentalize our lives- BUT he is there, through it all:  work, school, play.

Holy Yoga is 100% yoga and 100% Jesus.

“Holy Yoga is no more about the yoga than worship music is about the music. It is a spiritual discipline that facilitates prayer and meditation and intimate worship of our Savior. We have not taken a secular practice and Christianized it. We have proclaimed that having an appropriate purpose in the practice of a discipline is what makes it holy or not. We don’t allow the misuse of prayer or meditation or God’s Word by other faiths to inhibit us from using them to further our relationship with our Savior; neither will we shrink away from practicing yoga as a part of our faith walk.” www.holyyoga.net

The cost to become a 225-hour Holy Yoga instructor is $2,895. This includes a 9-week course study and a weeklong immersion in either Arizona or Minnesota (depending on when I complete the 9-week portion). There are four 9-week seminars throughout 2015 and three immersion weeks. I will also be responsible for purchasing my airline ticket to the weeklong intensive.

It is currently my desire to begin my studies in May 2015 and complete the weeklong training in July 2015. In order for this to happen 1: I have to get my funds together and 2: I have to be okay leaving my daughter for a week. As of right now I haven’t even left her overnight.

BUT, He is faithful. And I really feel like I am supposed to take this next step. I know that this ministry changes lives. I know that through Holy Yoga I could spread the healing and hope of Jesus love to so many.

Pray for me and my family as I take this journey.

Please give if you feel led- I know God is going to do great things through this ministry.
