UPDATE: HELP MEET OUR STRETCH GOAL!
In response to the overwhelming support of our community, we are increasing our goal ensure that Erica is fully supported. Your contribution has assured that she will have the resources to cover her base material costs. Now let's make sure that she is fully supported through the months it will take to rebuild her inventory. Artist, mother, teacher, and activist, Erica Gordon, sole-proprietor of Steel Toe Studios has suffered an incredible loss. In the midst of the peak holiday season, she was robbed of all of her inventory, valued at $20,000, from her stall at Seattle’s Pike Place Market. This included several hundred pieces, made by her, by hand. She estimates this to be over four months of accumulated work.
To get back to business, Erica will need financial support to restock her materials and produce more merchandise. This gofundme goal can do just that. This is a goal we can reach together as a community. Erica believes so strongly in community. She builds it with her work, among her friends, at her son’s school. We are all lucky that Erica has made us part of her community. Now we have a chance as that community to support someone who’s been there for us.
