OMG you guys, Steam Machine is making our first album! Do you want one? Do you even want to pre-order one? Campaign is closing January 16th, so get after it!

AJ Srubas, Aaron Tacke, Rina Rossi, and Nokosee Fields, aka Steam Machine, are four young people from the great american midwest who all love playing old-time and bluegrass music. As a band they combine clean powerful fiddling and vocal harmonies with driving three finger banjo and a rhythm section that keeps your (steam) tractor going. Steam Machine just finished recording their first collection of fiddle tunes and songs at Creation Audio in Minneapolis this fall (see track list below). Engineer Tom Herbers captured each instrument's sound on a 16 track tape machine through a collection of beautiful vintage microphones. Mixing is nearly done, and your pre-orders will help us reach the finish line of mastering and printing. Plus you'll get a copy before any of your friends- which is definitely priceless.
We have lots of options and we hope one will work for you:
$12 = we will send you a digital download code so you can have a copy before your friends who waited for the official release date.
$15 = we will mail you a beautiful letterpress-printed copy of the CD + liner notes booklet (free shipping!)
$20 = we will mail you a beautiful letterpress-printed copy of the CD w/liner notes AND give you a download code for 3 bonus tracks, including one where we all switch instruments.
$50 = we will mail you a beautiful letterpress-printed copy of the CD AND a download code for 3 bonus tracks AND a handprinted steam tractor poster by our friend and Minneapolis artist Marie Stier!

$10 = make a donation of $10 to the project because you're amazing.
What's on the album?
We love the sound of fiddlers like Lyman Enloe, Gene Goforth, Snake Chapman, and Buddy Thomas who had a background in old-time music but spent a lot of time on the bluegrass scene. AJ also had to get a few Ed Haley versions of classic tunes on there, of course. Mixed in are songs from a wide variety of sources from Flatt and Scruggs to The Kentucky Ramblers. And there are a few other things in there too.
