Combatting Hygiene Poverty Back at School:

Imagine being a child returning to school or starting at a new one, dreading the embarrassment of poor hygiene. This is the reality for up to 3 million children in low-income UK families who can't afford basic hygiene essentials like toothpaste, shampoo, and deodorant.

Why Your Help Matters:

Dignity and Confidence: Hygiene is fundamental to a child's self-esteem and well-being.

Health and Well-being: Lack of hygiene products can lead to physical, mental, and emotional health issues.

Preventing Isolation: Poor hygiene can cause children to feel ashamed and isolated, leading to bullying and social exclusion.

Jo Jones, co-founder of Beauty Banks, says, “With 30% of children in Britain living below the poverty line, many families struggle to afford basic hygiene. Our STAY FRESH at School campaign aims to lighten this burden, making essential products accessible necessities rather than unaffordable luxuries. The more funds we raise, the more children we can support.”

Your support can transform term time for children living in hygiene poverty. Let's ensure they stay fresh, confident, and ready to face each day with a smile.
