Stay Strong, Supermom

Donation protected
Last year, I was moved when I saw the Mother’s Day commercial put out by Sick Kids. As a mother myself, and also remembering the years I spent volunteering at Sick Kids, I couldn’t imagine what those moms were experiencing. I set out with a goal to create 60 care packages to be handed out (anonymously) to the Mother’s on the hematology/oncology unit on Mother’s Day. The purpose of these bags were to remind these mothers that they are being thought of and to hopefully remind them what an incredible job they are doing.

So I reached out to family and friends, and was blown away with the generosity of those around me (I am truly blessed). In less than two months, I was able to raise a significant amount of money and receive some incredible product donations from some amazing people... all of which enabled me to create 60 beautiful bags that were handed out on Mother’s Day.

The response was so positive, that the coordinator at Sick Kids has allowed me to go ahead with this initiative again. This time, I’ll be creating bags for the incredible mothers on the hematology/oncology unit AND the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) - 100 bags :)

So here I am, reaching out to you again. If this is something that resonates with you, and you can help, that would be amazing. How can you help?
