Help Gikoy Beat Leukemia

At 8 years old, our dear nephew, Gikoy was experiencing fevers and extremely high white blood cell count for a few weeks. After extensive testing, Gikoy was diagnosed Chronic Eosinophilic Leukemia, which is a rare disease in which too many eosinophils (a type of white blood cell) are found in the bone marrow, blood, and other tissues. Chronic eosinophilic leukemia may stay the same for many years, or it may progress quickly to acute leukemia.
Gikoy was put on a treatment plan right away. However, due to his circumstances- he cannot obtain health insurance or financial aid. Because of this, all of his medical expenses are paid out of pocket. Our family is contributing as much as we can, but unfortunately his chemotherapy and other medical expenses are increasing rapidly.
As his family, we want nothing more but for Gikoy to continue enjoying his childhood and focus on putting this illness behind him. Please include him in your prayers as he continues to stay strong and fight this disease.
