Stay Positive Stay Aggressive-2017

Donation protected
Dear Reader,

My name is Jackie Roberts, and I'll be hiking to the Base Camp of Mount Everest starting on Saturday, October 7th . I will be doing this trek with a great team of hikers from various parts of the world. I took a leave from teaching in order to undergo this incredible trek starting at Kathmandu, Nepal. On this particular journey, I will be working my way through the Himalayan mountains, finishing at the base of Mount Everest at 17,594 feet.

When I decided to embark on this adventure, I realized that it was a great opportunity to fundraise for the non-profit organization, Stay Positive Stay Aggressive (SPSA), run by my Carmi, Illinois, hometown-friend, Jade Mitchell. He not only battles Multiple Sclerosis, but has created SPSA to help others in need. 100% of all the donations made from this site will go to Jade's foundation and all donations will go towards helping local families in the Tri-State area who are in need and who struggle to pay medical bills due to illnesses such as MS.

Starting now and ending on November 1st, I will be collecting donations for SPSA. My goal is to bring awareness to others about Multiple Sclerosis and the great things Stay Positive Stay Aggressive is doing. Since hearing about Jade's diagnosis, I was determined to help in some way. After the recent death of my brother, I have realized more than ever the importance of living life to the fullest, family, friends and community. By donating to this cause, you will directly be a positive impact in someone's life. Any amount of donation is appreciated and it will be followed up with a personal and special thanks!

Thank you in advance for your generosity and willingness to help others. Throughout my hike, as the Internet is available to me, I will be sharing photos on my Facebook travel site, Wild World Traveler, as well as on the SPSA website and GoFundMe.

Please keep in mind that on the hike, there is always the possibility I could get injured, suffer from severe altitude sickness, and/or not complete my ultimate goal. However, I am determined to do my best in those 2 ½ weeks, while also raising awareness for Multiple Sclerosis.

Again, thank you for following me on my journey and supporting SPSA. Please contact me, or Jade Mitchell, with any questions.

Best Regards,
Jackie Roberts and Jade Mitchell
