Help Me Stay in University

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Salome, I am a 19 year old girl in desperate need of your help raising £60,000 to pay owed University tuition.

I was born in the United Kingdom and moved to Canada for 7 years in 2010. My family and I moved there to expand my parents ministry, Vessels Unto Honour which is a Ministry that helps widows and orphans. My mum had previously expanded the ministry in Nigeria, Uganda and Zimbabwe. We only expected to stay there for a couple of years to start the ministry and settle it before moving back to the UK but a series of unfortunate events led for my family and I to only return in 2017. Throughout the 7 years in Canada it wasn’t the easiest of times; for a while my family and I lived in a basement and got most of our food from the Salvation Army, my dad suffered what the doctors called “a mini stroke” and went into diabetic shock which was said it was a miracle that he was even alive and my mum fractured her ankle in three places, making her unable to walk properly 'til this day. Also, during this time, my sisters and I were involved in 2 car accidents that left both cars mangled and it is only by the grace of God that we are alive and well today. With these grievances, my parents were not able to work real jobs, leaving me to provide a steady income for the family. I was working part-time, volunteering part-time and in school full-time so I could have good enough grades and experience to study in the United Kingdom.

This past year I started studying Physiological Science at the University of Bristol hoping to one day go into medicine to become a doctor. Upon my return, I believed that I would be recognised as a home student because living in Canada was a temporary situation and also get money from Student Finance; however both the University and Student Finance did not see it this way, so I was classed as an International student. The University of Bristol was gracious enough to allow me to finish my first year, however as 2nd year starts, I am still in the same predicament because none of my financial endeavours have worked.

There is a lot of money that I need to come up with but any contribution is one step closer for me reaching my dream of becoming a doctor. I have always dreamt about becoming a doctor, specifically a Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgeon, and I worked hard in school every year so I could reach that. I never thought that I would be in a position that the only thing stopping me was external circumstances that are not directly in my control.

Money or Prayers work, I am just thankful for any support I receive.
