I am a 2nd generation educator and kids are my passion. Our youth could be so much more if they just felt good about themselves and where they come from. I want my kids to be exposed to different experiences. I would like to take some community based field trips. Open to the public. We could go to the Black History Museum in Hattiesburg, MS and the Whitney Plantation in Wallace, LA to spark their interests. Also to give them a deeper understanding of self.
My ultimate goal is to develop a consulting firm so I can assist school districts in designing programs, activities, and curriculum that will allow the most growth of every student. I wish I could teach every boy and girl. Since that is not possible, I want to share the knowledge, skills, and abilities that I have honed for 9 years with fellow educators via consulting or speaking.
