'Stave off the Blues' - Music for Young Carers
Tax deductible
'Stave off the Blues' is a group of 5 musical friends from Bath, Clare, Steph, Babs, Alan & Chris, who came together (socially distanced of course!) during the Covid19 lockdown to do just that. Having shared several of our versions of popular songs on social media, with hundreds of views and super feedback, brilliantly directed, edited and produced by Chris, we decided to produce a Christmas special with a wider group of our musical friends. We hope to 'encourage' our social media friends, family, etc. to donate to a charity.

What is a Young Carer?
A Young Carer is a child (aged 5-18) who has a significant caring responsibility for a family member who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol. With an average age of 13 years old, Young Carers’ caring roles can affect their education, friendships, health & wellbeing.
Comments from those involved:
"I think this is one of the best projects we have ever taken part in, it has changed some of our YC’s futures, it is so much more than just a music project", Sharon, Young Carers’ Service Coordinator from Youth Action Wiltshire.
“This project helps because it makes your feelings feel precious” YC aged 8 from Bath.
"Many of the children who came to these inspiring sessions didn't have friends of their own age and several were home-schooled because of their difficult circumstances", Clare, Bath.
Imagine being a Young Carer in these exceptional times.
Thank you in advance for your contributions and we all wish you a very Happy & Healthy Christmas and a less stressful 2021 .
Clare, Steph, Babs, Alan & Chris.
