Stat Man needs a Home
Donation protected
If you frequent downtown you have probably seen Jim walking around. You might be thinking to yourself that a gentleman his age shouldn't be crossing the street without help. But Jim still walks the streets daily as he has been doing most of his life.
Jim has been a season ticket holder to the Orlando Magic for over 21 years. He and his wife would go to every game together, walking over from their home in Downtown Orlando.
When his wife passed away he found himself homeless, the only thing he had left in life were his season tickets and the memories he had of those games with his wife.
Even though he did everything "right" throughout his life, at 77 he now lives in his car, clinging to the one thing that keeps him going, the Magic.
We have partnered with the Magic and ESPN Orlando ((580)) to raise money to find him a home, so he may continue to walk to the Amway Center and catch every game, and feel close to his wife again.
So please bid away on the amazing items we have, donated from businesses all over Central Florida!
You can also donate through our Statman Auction and get some last minute gifts for the holiday by going to:

Lead Homelessness Initiative, a nonprofit located in Orlando Florida hosted this campaign and will be designating an account to pay out the funds raised here.
We are working with local housing facilities to find Jim a permanent housing solution. Once housed, Jim will receive the funds to cover his living expenses with monthly checks written for housing and utilities directly. This will be done to ensure the proper use of all donated funds in this campaign.
