My name is Victoriah Bech and I had the opportunity to help welcome eight amazing - but badly abused - dogs to The United States. They all were saved from slaughter houses and the meat trade industry in China. They have all endured horrific treatment by humans but thanks to Bunny's Buddies they are now safe in their new forever homes in The States.
I've been able to follow the dogs beautiful transformation and witness how much forgiveness and joy they bring with them despite the torture they endured prior. I immediately wanted to help give more dogs a second chance but due to the cruel conditions these dogs endure - they run up hefty vet bills.
The dogs are rescued from meat trucks, slaughter houses and the streets where they are kept in tiny cages, suffering from extreme starvation, skin infections, missing legs and eyes, parvo etc. There's a misguided belief in China that torturing dogs BEFORE slaughtering them for meat, will give a better tasting meat or can provide health benefits. (We are talking hanging alive on hooks, boiled alive, skinned alive, brutality beaten etc).
As the cruel Yulin "Dog meat" Festival is coming up in June the pressure is higher. More than 10.000 dogs are slaughtered this weekend alone. These dogs are often stolen pets, stray dogs or dogs bred specifically for the meat trade.
The donations will go to vet bills, up keep at their safe house in China, toys, vaccines etc through Bunny's Buddies. Please help me support the amazing group of ladies and men fighting daily for all these sweet pups.
