For laid off workers, launching a business may seem the best path for survival. Tough times breed a different type of entrepreneur.
The BusinessFlare Academy Entrepreneurship Program is designed to provide assistance to budding entrepreneurs in South Florida that have recently lost their jobs due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Program includes...
Assistance with business formation and registration with the State of Florida;
Securing an Employer ID Number from the IRS;
Guidance to opening a business bank account (what documentation is required);
Assistance with Veteran and/or Minority Business Certification with the State of Florida;
Registration with Dun and Bradstreet;
Local Business Tax Receipt requirements;
Real Estate and Market Analysis assistance;
General guidance and mentoring.
In addition to technical assistance, the BusinessFlare Academy wishes to provide financial assistance to these potential entrepreneurs to take their dreams into reality.
We have started this GoFundMe fundraising drive to raise money to assist these future entrepreneurs with State of Florida LLC Registration Fees ($125), local Business Tax Receipt application Fees ($25-225), and $100 to seed their business bank account. Total assistance (contingent on fundraising) is estimated at $250-500 per entrepreneur.
100% of funds will go to these new entrepreneurs. All administrative costs are absorbed by the Board of Directors.
