I am starting over after escaping domestic violence and going through treatment. My mother recently had a stroke, and my family is busy, so I am on my own. I need help with everyday living, medication, rent, and bringing my dog to be with me. I’ve just started a low-paying job, but I won’t get paid for three weeks. Living in a sober house is expensive, and I need medication to function. I am doing everything I can and working a recovery program, but it’s hard starting with nothing. Everyday living expenses like getting to appointments and interviews, food, clothing, and daily maintenance are overwhelming right now. I also need to save to bring my emotional support animal down here—he has saved my life.

Having support will give me a minute to breathe—knowing I have the medication I need and a safe place to put my head. It will help with food, daily commitments, and making sure I can keep moving forward. It will also help me bring my emotional support animal here, which is so important for my recovery. Any help or support means the world to me right now. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation.
