The Jerome Sharks are excited for our 2017 season to begin! We’re asking for your help to raise $10,000 to purchase starting blocks for the Jerome Recreation District Pool. Our swimmers compete weekly in the Sagebrush Swim League during the summer season. Why might starting blocks be so important you ask...well, we are the only team that does not have starting blocks in the league. At each swim meet the kids start each swim by diving off the blocks into the pool. This puts our team at a great disadvantage as they have no experience diving off the blocks during their regular early morning practices. The addition of starting blocks to the Jerome Recreation Pool would help to give our children the opportunity to train and perform their best. These starting blocks will benefit the program for many, many years to come! We are excited at the growing interest in the Jerome Sharks program! Just in the last couple years we have nearly doubled the number of children involved. Last year 62 kids participated! We are working hard to create a positive and successful environment for Jerome’s children to learn and grow as they work hard each day to become better. We thank you for your support!
