We need your help to get Factual Reporting Advocacy Network off the ground as quickly as possible! We are the beginning phase of organizing a nationwide nonprofit designed to bolster the scientific process of death recording through education, support and services to those navigating the cause of death reporting process.
Why? Because without accurate death records, mortality statistics are not able to accurately inform public policy, successfully steer scientific research, nor support personal medical decision-making for the next generation.
The project is spearheaded by a former death certificate clerk that understands the rampant reporting inaccuracies in the bureaucratic-run death recording systems, and is also very familiar with navigating the complicated cause of death amendment process to remedy erroneous records.
We are inspired to support the bettering of society through the knowledge that improving death data capture accuracy will ultimately reduce the truest causes of global and individual illness and death, thereby helps saving the most amount of lives.
This past year, with the NVSS April 2020 COVID-19 guidance on certifying death, our nation produced death certificates that were inherently politicized and biased, churning out an overwhelming amount of inaccurate death records that leave many families upset and wanting the records corrected.
We will start by helping those families get amended records and educate and support medical certifiers and funeral homes in their important role providing accurate death data capture. We will continue on until the culture of apathy surrounding death certificate inaccuracy is reformed.
