I have been given a humbling opportunity to be a part of a global mission project. From November 11-18, 2018 STARS (Sexual Trauma and Restorative Services) Women's Project is sponsoring a trip to Abuja, Nigeria. During STARS' trip to Abuja, delegates will work to offer coping mechanisms, therapeutic activities, holistic workshops, information, mental support and emotional support to women who have suffered from genital mutilation, rape, forced cesareans, and other heinous acts.
I have been asked to be one of the delegates on this mission trip. During my time in Abuja with the STARS project I will be facilitating art classes that will give the women an opportunity to express themselves, work through their emotions, and process their pain from surviving horrible situations in their communities. Art has the ability to touch our souls in ways that we cannot imagine. In order to be a part of this delegation and confirm my space on the trip I need to provide an initial deposit of $1,000 as soon as possible. And the remaining balance by August. The total cost of the trip that I am responsible for is $2,800. I don't know how I'm going to be able to be a part without help. I believe in offering my gifts to help heal and support as many as I can. Please if you can help me so that I can help the women waiting for us in Abuja, Nigeria. No amount is too small.
