Starcatching for the IWK Foundation
Whale Song Theatre is back with their third fundraiser - the exciting and innovative take on the Peter Pan stories - Peter and the Starcatcher. This family-friendly comedic romp is in support of the IWK Children’s Hospital Foundation. Peter Pan has long been associated with giving back to the community and children’s hospitals, and we’re delighted to continue the tradition.
Playing February 19-25, 2018 at The Bus Stop Theatre, Peter and the Starcatcher features a cast of 13 actors playing over 50 characters. A show that encourages imagination and play, there’s jokes for every member of the family. Follow the impetuous Molly, the lonely Boy and the villainous Black Stache on an adventure that starts a legend.
Our goal is to fundraise money to cover the costs of producing the show so that money from ticket sales can be donated directly to the IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax, NS. This incredible organization services all of Atlantic Canada’s women and children. From maternity to emergency to oncology to dentistry - the three thousand employees work diligently to provide the best healthcare possible. Our donation is a donation from the community. A joyful thank you for their continued dedication to our collective well being.
