Stanley Nyberg Rehabilitation Fund

Many of you know of the challenges Stanley (Stan to many) has faced since suffering a series of strokes last year.  He has lost most of his ability to move the entire right side of his body and currently resides in a long-term care center in Boston, near his home.  His Medicare-funded rehabilitation program has not progressed as smoothly as it could have, but recently something exciting has happened. For the past five weeks he's received supplemental physical therapy from the close friend of his relative (her name is Haley) and he has responded extremely well, making much better progress than the first few months of therapy. Haley is enrolled in a doctoral program for PT and has not only provided new approaches to his rehab but essentially provides another set of eyes and involvement in his care, reinforcing to staff that he intends to improve enough to "Graduate" from their facility. He is quite determined to do that, but has a significant amount of progress yet to make.

Haley works with Stan every Friday morning, and we would like to raise $5,000 to pay her for the next year.  Any amount you may be able to contribute is appreciated!
