Stanley L Hersey Memorial Scholarship Fund

Stanley L Hersey (June 1, 1925 ~ September 25, 2020), a US Navy Veteran of World War II, held the appointment of Chef aboard the USS Europa. Upon returning from the war, he continued his passion in the Culinary Arts holding Chef positions at the Waldorf Restaurant Boston and Milton Academy in Milton Massachusetts.
As a lifelong resident of the Hingham, Massachusetts community, he displayed pride for its history and was hopeful for its future.
This scholarship is to be awarded to a graduating senior of Hingham High School that will be continuing their education through Culinary Arts.
The world is quieter without you in it. I must now reside to finding enjoyment with you only in my memories. You lived such an amazing, fulfilling, caring life. You helped to form the pillars upon which I built my foundation. I will continue to swing the hammer the way you taught me. You are forever a part of me. For as long as I have breath, you will be remembered.
This scholarship fund will be granted every year in his honor. Donations must be made by March 1st. Thank you for your caring support!
