G20 Team returns with LIHKG Scorched-Earth Team for crowdfunding! Worldwide advertisement campaign on August 17 to fight against 8.11 war crimes
G20 team is back with LIHKG Scorched-Earth Team!
This crowdfunding event is a contingency measure to the emergent situation in Hong Kong on 8/11 -- G20 Team decides to once again join forces with LIHKG Scorched-Earth Team to initiate the 8.17/18 worldwide advertisement campaign and second-wave counterattack against the Hong Kong puppet government and its police force.
Fundraising goal: $1 million USD ($7.8 million HKD).
Furthermore, we urgently call for overseas HongKongers -- in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or anywhere around the world to organize large scale rallies on 8/17. Faced with the atrocities committed by the Hong Kong government and its Police Force, we shall respond with our own rallies and our own voice, and to echo the 8.16 Hong Kong IIAD X LIHKG Scorched-Earth rally.
How dire is the situation?
Hong Kong has entered into a state of emergency - since 6.9, Hong Kong citizens have been subjected to violent, inhumane treatment that grossly exceeds the limits of any civil society should suffer.
From 6.12 to 7.21 and then to 8.11, the Hong Kong Government incessantly attempted to subdue dissent by violently putting down and lethally harming those who speak up, instead of resolving the root of the issues. Hong Kong has since been engulfed in a prolonged state of fear and emergency.
In light of our dire situation, we Hong Kongers, need to initiate a new wave of actions to garner international attention, to blockage and sanction HKSAR officials, pro-beijing parties and any members of the HK Police Force who has committed misconduct or criminal behaviours. The ultimate goal is to expose and hold these perpetrators accountable for their transgressions against basic human rights and freedoms.
Up till 8.11, police-gangster coalition has brought level of brutality to the altitude of terrorism and war crimes:
Firing poisonous tear gas indoors - in Japan it was once called “the Sarin gas terrorist attack”.
A first-aider was shot in the eye from point blank range - at the international level, it would be considered as military execution.
Gangster attacking civilians indiscriminately on the street - this would usually be classified as an act of terrorism
Hong Kong government meanwhile packages these criminal activities and war crimes as ‘the lowest degree of force necessary to stop the protests’? Will you let them be?
How is this 3rd crowdfunding round different?
“G20 crowdfunding” was initiated by the G20 team to express concerns over and impacts of the extradition bill to the G20 members.
“Sino-British Joint Declaration (SBJD) crowdfunding” was initiated by LIHKG Scorched-Earth team to raise capital and to bring attention to the community in the United Kingdom. The team has been restlessly launching different campaigns through various medium.
This 3rd crowdfunding round aims to escalate the situation and unite forces between the G20 team and the LIHKG Scorched-Earth team to expose to the global community how the HKSAR government suppresses voices of dissidents; launches chemical weapons to civilians indiscriminately; opens fire from rifles within 1 meter of civilians.
While LIHKG Scorched-Earth team focuses on fieldwork in the United Kingdom, and a group of students are preparing for fieldwork in the U.S.A., we urge everyone to come with us and together we take these injustices in Hong Kong to the international community!
This crowdfunding campaign tentatively comprises of two rounds:
8.17/8 worldwide advertisement to reveal war crimes
8.31 marks one year since the unreasonable reinterpretation of the Basic Law from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China. September 1st also marks the beginning of new congress session in multiple countries. We will initiate actions across multiple fronts to fight for simultaneous sanctions upon individuals who are responsible for committing war crimes, as well as suppressing basic human rights in Hong Kong.
To cover our two waves of (diversified) actions, we set the tentative crowdfunding target to $1 million USD. Any funding exceeding the target will grant us extra leverage in fighting for the cause.
Any remaining funding will be donated to groups in need.
Please note that this crowdfunding campaign is dominated in US Dollars. For “Tips”, please fill in $0 unless you want to donate to gofundme also.
Finally, we urgently appeal to all friends around the world, (including UK, US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Germany and Japan) to stand up and participate in the demonstration on 17 Aug in support of the “Stand with Hong Kong, Power to the People” rally at Chater Garden co-organised by Hong Kong HIIAD and LIHKG Scorched-Earth Team. The demonstration is to demand the UK to declare a Chinese breach against the Sino-British Joint Declaration, a binding international treaty; and the US Congress and the UK Parliament to legislate Magnitsky-style sanctions upon the persons responsible for / complicit in the suppression of rights and freedoms in Hong Kong.
Is LIHKG Scorched Team the leader of the movement?
LIHKG Scorched-Earth Team adamantly opposed to be the leader of the movement. We are 100% behind the return of G20 team and the rise of the student movement. We will work together to fight against the communist Chinese government and its puppet Hong Kong government
(The final mission of the LIHKG Scorched-Earth team is to uphold the spirit of “if we burn, you burn with us”.)
Hong Kong people, We Would Rather Be Ashes Than Dust
