<div>She faced that battle with courage, faith, and a quiet strength that has always defined her. Not long afterward, life dealt her another devastating blow: she lost her husband to cancer and was left to raise their two young children on her own.

<div>Yesenia lives in the Dominican Republic, where medical care often requires payment upfront. Our family is raising funds to help cover her treatment, medications, medical care, and the daily expenses of fighting cancer while caring for her children.

<div>Hay personas que cargan más de lo que les corresponde de los momentos más difíciles de la vida, y aun así logran mantenerse de pie con gracia. Mi hermana Yesenia es una de esas personas, y hoy nuestra familia les pide que se unan a ella mientras enfrenta la batalla contra el cancer de mama.

<div>Hace catorce años, Yesenia tuvo su primera luchó contra el cáncer de mama y ganó. Enfrentó esa batalla tal como enfrenta todo en la vida: con fe, con valentía, y con una fortaleza silenciosa que inspiró a todos a su alrededor. Poco después, la vida volvió a ponerla a prueba de la manera más devastadora. Perdió a su esposo a causa de cáncer, quedando de repente viuda y sola con la responsabilidad de criar a sus dos hijos pequeños.

<div>Ahora el cáncer ha regresado, esta vez a la otra mama que no estaba afectada, y se ha extendido a sus ganglios linfáticos. Su doctor está actuando con rapidez porque sabe la urgencia que existe.

<div>Ella está enfrentando esta nueva batalla tal como ha enfrentado todas las anteriores: con la frente en alto, con su fe firme, y con un fuego interior que esta enfermedad nunca ha podido apagar. Ella es luchadora, es creyente. Ella es una guerrera y es profundamente amada.

Yesenia está en la Republica Dominicana y sabemos que sin apoyo financiero el sistema medico no le atiende sin antes pagar.
